Berries are a powerhouse of nutrition, and so so yummy. Frozen is absolutely fine (as they are picked at their peak and instantly snap frozen, locking in all the nutrition). Yoghurt is a great source of calcium for strong bones, protein for strong muscles, and probiotics for a healthy tummy. Choose organic if possible.
2 cups of fresh or frozen mixed berries
Natural, unsweetened yoghurt, to serve.
Wash berries well. Pop into a blender with the banana, and add a small amount of water or fresh coconut water and whizz to a pulp. Add more water to adjust thickness. Can be served with natural yoghurt, porridge or rice cereal, or frozen into a delicious icey pole for older children.
