Sweet potato is a lovely first food for bubs to try. This sweet yet nutty root vegetable is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin A, which play an essential role in vision and eye health.

Wash, peel and chop 1 sweet potato into 1cm chunks. Pop into a steamer or into a saucepan with an inch of boiling water. Steam for 8-10 minutes until sweet potato is nice and soft. Pop into a blender and blitz until smooth, adding some of the cooking liquid to adjust the thickness.
