Avocado is a fantastic first fruit for babies, rich in healthy monounsaturated fats that are needed for brain and nervous system development, healthy skin cells, and overall wellness. Its fairly bland flavor is easily palatable, or is a great creamy carrier for other fruit and veggies.

Simply mash ¼ of a ripe avocado and if you like, add a small squeeze of lemon or lime juice. Mash to desired smoothness and feed with a spoon. You can also add a small splash of breastmilk or formula to adjust the thickness.
